At the Old School Muker we have lots of “wow” moments as we open up boxes and unwrap pictures, but when Yorkshire based artist Sarah Du Feu delivered her screen prints it was a double WOW! Stunningly conceived and executed, and set in beautifully made bespoke solid-oak frames, these prints are true centrepieces to any home or office space. I couldn’t resist photographing them before they were hung on the wall!
The scale is wonderful, with the large prints measuring 110cm x 110cm, the bigger the better, and with just four prints filling our feature wall!
And it’s a real pleasure not only to showcase Sarah’s landscapes, but also her wonderful still lifes, perfect examples of composition, colour and print making skill, and which I’ve used as inspiration for photographing the ceramics we sell in the gallery.
We’ll be featuring Sarah’s work during the month of August, and it’s really the perfect excuse to visit our gallery in Muker, Upper Swaledale to see them for yourself, but if you can’t make the trip and want to find out more about the work, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01748 886155 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
