Great Gable from the ascent to Red Pike | Sigma Merrill DP3 | http://www.richardjwalls.com
On each visit I attempt to capture the rugged majesty of the hills, and the tranquillity and beauty of the dales, inspired by Mike Shepherd and W.A. Poucher. Time and again my efforts prove inadequate and I return unrewarded.
Perhaps the Lakes are just impossible to squeeze into camera … but then Ansel Adams managed with the vastness of Yosemite …
I guess I’ll keep trying new angles, or perhaps buy a camera the size of a small car, but there’s no stopping until I succeed.
Taken with a Sigma Merrill DP3.
