After packing the Quattro up and sending it back to Amazon, I woke in a cold sweat, fretting over Part 6 and the difference in IQ between the Merrill and the Quattro when rendering the ivy around the clock.
The difference just couldn’t that big!
So I went back to raw and tried to max the detail in the images, processing first in Sigma Photopro then in Lightroom.

The results may not be to everyone’s taste … art is subjective, with viewer alone making their choice … but the difference is detail is unarguable.
I’ll sleep more soundly tonight!
P.s.
To make the unscientific comparison as open and honest as possible some words on the differences between the shots.
The Quattro DP2 image was taken at ISO200 @ f10 & 1/80 sec. The Merrill DP3 image was taken at ISO100 @ f6.3 & 1/100 sec. Both hand held. All images (this and other comparison posts) are shot in raw.
